An antique American serving plate by Lebkuecher and Co, out of Newark, New Jersey circa 1896-1909. The plate has a jade center mounted with a wide silver band embossed with a meander pattern. Marked with the makers mark, Sterling, 605, and bears a hand engraved number: 1584110. Lebkuecher and Co. was founded in 1896 by three partners - Arthur E. Lebkuecher, Francis A. Lebkuecher and Charles C. Wientge in New Jersey. The company was active until 1909, when they changed their name and were bought by another company.
