An antique Copeland bust of Ophelia, stamped in reverse, W.C. Marshall RA Sculpt, Copeland, and Crystal Palace Art Union. Circa the 19th century. William Calder Marshall, 1813 to 1894 was a Scottish sculptor. He was known for creating public monuments for the new Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and St. Pauls Cathedral. He created a colossal bronze statue of Robert Peel for Manchester, with figures representing the city, illustrating production and trade, and another symbolizing the arts and sciences at the base of the pedestal.
