Vasily Ivanovich Kolotev, Russian, Soviet era, born 1953, relief acrylic painting on canvas, Muses of Eternity, 1998. Signed with a monogram and dated, lower right. Provenance: an original paper label of the Zalman Gallery Contemporary Russian Paintings and Sculpture, New York, on the backside. Vasily Ivanovich Kolotev is a Russian nonconformist artist. The artwork of Vasily Kolotev occupies a special place in the unofficial art of the USSR of the 70s to 80s. One of a kind artwork.
