An antique 19th century Russian Orthodox icon of Saint Nicholas of Myra, one of the most celebrated saints of the Orthodox church. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wooden board. Metal riza or oklad with repousse decor. The backside of the icon is covered with fabric.
