Three Italian 500 Lire silver coins. On the obverse, behold the majestic vessels of Christopher Columbus, the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria, sailing steadfastly to the right. Below, nestled within the waves of the sea, lies the coins value, accompanied by the mint mark and the name of the author. The reverse features a bust of a woman, adorned in Renaissance attire, symbolizing the spirit of Italy. Surrounding her are 19 shields, each representing a distinct region of the country. This design pays homage to the renowned Pisanello Medaglia di Cecilia medal. Obverse Designer is Guido Veroi. Reverse Designer is Pietro Giampaoli. Italian Silver Coins And Numismatic Collectibles.
