A large antique Chinese Yuan dynasty green-glazed jar. Mimicking the shape of a yet-to-bloom lotus bud, this jar is adorned with various intricate Buddhist motifs and lotus leaves, both to the body and the lid. Dating back to the Yuan dynasty, which spanned from the 13th to the 14th century, this jar reflects the artistic and cultural influences of the time. The green glaze, characteristic of Yuan dynasty ceramics, adds a lustrous sheen to the jar's surface, further enhancing its visual appeal and lending it an aura of elegance and refinement. Sold with the associated document. Provenance: Mr. Perry, Central Louisiana. Acquired his collection in Asia from 1970 to 1998. With the proof of provenance attached. Antique Chinese Pottery Collectibles.
