A lot of two World War II era Japanese officer glazed pottery sake bottles. Includes a Retirement Sake Bottle glazed in pale blue, the body is adorned with a relief Seigaiha pattern made of rows of ocean waves forming a fan-shaped pattern and hand painted gilded motifs depicting a cherry blossom medallion with a canon in the center with two crossed flags behind. Bears an inscription in Japanese on the backside. And a celadon glazed sake bottle with the exterior decorated with a relief pattern imitating weaving and gilded motifs depicting a cherry blossom, a star and inscriptions in Japanese, marked on the bottom.
