Attributed to David Wojnarowicz, American, 1954 to 1992, a sculpture made of collaged paper and acrylic on cast plaster titled Head, from the Metamorphosis series, 1984. David Michael Wojnarowicz was a painter, photographer, writer, filmmaker, performance artist, songwriter and recording artist, and AIDS activist prominent in the East Village art scene.
