A pair of ancient Sasanian Empire Khosrow II Drachm silver coins, dating from the reign spanning 591 to 628 CE. On the obverse of each coin, behold the portrait of Khosrow II, depicted within a crescent adorned with a six-pointed star. Two wings extend from the crescents bar. The field of the coin is framed by pointed rims, with crescents and stars symmetrically positioned on either side and below. On to the reverse, the Zoroastrian fire altar takes center stage, flanked by two attendants wearing high headdresses.
