The exterior of the egg is covered with a cobalt blue Guilloche enamel, adorned with applied geometric pattern, the double headed eagles of imperial Russia, and encrusted with oval amethysts. Mounted to the footed pedestal with figural legs modeled as Cherubs. Presented with a footed silver and hand carved Nephrite Jade stand.
