Lot 0400: LARGE CHINESE FAMILE ROSE DRAGON PORCELAIN TEA POT

A large Chinese, Republic era, Famille Rose porcelain tea pot. The exterior of the vase is adorned with hand enamelled medallions depicting blossoming flowers with a butterfly or a bat surrounded by floral, and foliate scroll motifs on the turquoise ground. A lid is made in the same design. The base is adorned with floral and foliage motifs on the red ground. The tea pot is adorned with a gilded figural handle and a spout made in a dragon design. Marked with six character blue ink mark, on the bottom. Republic of China period, 1912 to 1949. Circa: early 20th century.
