An antique karabela type saber used by Polish and Lithuanian nobility and famous winged hussars from the 17th to late 19th century. The eagle head hilt called karabela after Polish tradition was used also in Russia, the Balkans, Turkey, and Persia. Features a slightly curved steel blade with a pronounced false edge called yelmen.
