A pair of antique European manner upholstered wooden tavern chairs. The chairs are adorned with fabric upholster, one has Oriental ornaments. The other is a Cromwellian-style puritan chair. The wares are decorated with a hand carved swirl design, and sculpted handles. The handles are decorated with a carved lions head design or a female figure, engraved with detailed patterns. Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Chipped legs. Stained fabric on the seat of both chairs. Torn fabric that has been poorly repaired on larger chair. Smaller chair is frayed on the seat. The seat also is loose and comes off.. Both chairs scuffed and scratched slightly. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
