The painting depicts a scene with a smartly dressed dancing couple, a man and woman in the foreground, and musicians in the background. Signed lower right. Attached to the back is a note with descriptive information about the artist. Housed in a gilt carved frame. Clara Montalba, 1842 to 1929, English painter and feminist. Was a regular contributor to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition during the 1870s. She attained international recognition following exhibitions in Europe and America.
