A set of vintage Chinese soapstone hand carved sculpted bookends. Circa mid 20th century. Bookends depict the figure of a scholar and a warrior, having similar facial features but different clothing and attributes. The scholar is dressed in clothes with long sleeves and holds a scroll in his hands, and the warrior is dressed in armor and holds a sword.
