Erte or Romain de Tirtoff, Russian, French, 1892 to 1990, limited edition embossed serigraph with silver foil, Gala, depicting a Flapper lady dressed for an Opera theatre, holding a dagger in her long flowing dress against a black background framed by a black ribbon motif. Signed, lower right. Framed. Romain de Tirtoff was a Russian and French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erte, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th century genuis artist, graphic artist, illustrator, set designer, fashion designer, sculptor of the Art deco era, Russian origin, who worked in Paris and Hollywood.
