This fine realistic portrait shows a wealthy Englishwoman dressed in late 19th century fashion in a formal black dress with a white lace collar and a large gold brooch set with precious stones in the middle. She has long expensive earrings and a large gold necklace. On the head is a thin lace hood decorated with embroidered flowers. The portrait is housed in a wood oval carved frame. One of a kind artwork.
