The cover of the ware is covered with red guilloche enamel under an openwork gilt silver rosette set with a cabochon cut jade. Sides are adorned with intricate overlays depicting foliage and floral motifs, set with ruby stones and diamonds. The body is raised on a figural stem designed as a bear lying on its back, the eyes are set with diamonds in golden frames. The base is made of carved jade with a gilt silver frame designed as a bunch of wheat tied with ribbons set with diamonds. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard hallmark, a makers mark, and other Russian hallmarks.
