A fine quality Russian figural table lighter, made of brown onyx and gilded silver set with gemstones. Designed as a well detailed head of a dog with eyes set with cabochon cut rubies, the collar is set with diamonds. The bulbous body is carved of natural onyx, raised on a gilt silver base with relief scrolled foliage motifs. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard and other Russian hallmarks.
