A vintage book in Russian titled Invasion of East Prussia in August 1914. Memoirs of an officer of the General Staff of the Army, General Samsonov, by Colonel P. N. Bogdanovich. Buenos Aires, 1964. 272 pages. A historical work by an eyewitness and direct participant in the events described, the sad epic of the army of General Samsonov during the First World War. In his book, the author shows that the sacrifice made by the Russian Empire by invading East Prussia was not in vain, but, on the contrary, was dictated by necessity and had a very direct impact on the outcome of the war. The author of the book, General Staff Colonel Pavel Nikolaevich Bogdanovich, was an officer in the Life Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment, then the Life Erivan Regiment and General of Staff of the 2nd Russian Army under General Samsonov.
