An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, lidded enamel over copper tea pot with a curved handle. The exterior of the ware is enameled with a polychrome design depicting cranes surrounded by plants and butterflies made in the Cloisonne technique. The lid is decorated with a design of blossoming flowers and a foliage motif made in the same technique. The neck is adorned with foliage, and geometrical patterns made in the same technique.
