Juan Luna Y Novicio, Philippine, French, 1857 to 1899, sanguine painting on paper depicting a backside portrait of a man. Signed lower left. Framed. Additionally inscribed, on the backside. Juan Luna Y Novicio is known for Aristocratic female figure, portrait, nudes and landscape painting. Juan Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta was a Filipino painter, sculptor and a political activist of the Philippine Revolution during the late 19th century. He became one of the first recognized Philippine artists. One of a kind artwork.
