A very fine quality antique French Empire clock in a gilded bronze, circa 1810. Features the body in the shape of an ovoid vase, the neck is adorned with a putty holding a lire, the belly with relief female figures holding cornucopias, with a bunch of wheat below. The dial is enamel with black Roman numerals. Raised on a square base decorated with applied Neoclassical motifs and has four button shaped feet. Comes with a winding key.
