Woodcut print on paper by Earl Marshawn Washington, born 1962, an African-American engraver. The artwork depicts a Modernist composition, a figure crying over the city buildings. Titled Weeping in the bottom middle. Dated 1927 in the lower right. Marked AP, Artists Proof, and signed by the artist in the lower left. Black mat. Washington was accused of counterfeit in 1999 and has himself admitted to creating copies. Virtually all of his artworks appear to be copies after other painters. Collectible Graphic Art Prints.
