Attributed to Atsushi Kaga, Japanese, Irish, born 1978, oil painting on canvas depicting depicting a scene with rabbits seated at the table. Signed lower right. Framed. Atsushi Kaga is a Ireland based artist working mainly in painting. After having obtained his degree in Fine Art at the National College of Art and Design, he started his artist career in Dublin. Kaga has attracted attention for his truly unique paintings which incorporates a mixture of western art history, philosophy, Celtic culture and Japanese painting. He is best known for his practice steeped in popular culture. Born in 1978 in Tokyo, the artist received his BA in Fine Art Painting from the National College of Art and Design/NCAD in 2005. He had a solo show at the Butler Gallery in 2008, has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally and is represented in numerous private and public collections. Upcoming projects include Maho Kubota Gallery's booth at Shanghai Art Fair in November 2019 and a solo presentation with mothers tankstation ltd at Dangai art fair in Taipei in January 2020. Kaga is repreented by mothers tankstation ltd, Dublin. One of a kind artwork.
