An ancient Mesoamerican hand carved stone petaloid ax with a lizard. The green ax has the smooth shape of a flower petal with a sharp tip. An image of a lizard is carved on one side. Usually, a long wooden handle was attached to such axes. They were used to clear land, carve canoes or other wooden objects, and cut manioc roots.
