A Russian gilt silver letter opener featuring a carved jade blade decorated with chiseled foliage patterns to the ricasso on the both sides. The handle is covered with a shimmering red enamel over a patterned guilloche ground. The top is set with a large round cabochon cut gemstone, most likely amethyst.
