Watercolor and ink on paper painting. American, mid-20th century. The artwork depicts a Parisian street with the Pantheon in the perspective. Titled View of Latin Quarter. Signed by the artist, A.A. Balthasar, and dated 1954 in the lower left. 12th Art Contest of Contemporary Virginia and Carolina Oil and Water Color Paintings 1955 label is attached to the backside. The artists adress is stated as USS Krishna, ARL-38. USS Krishna was a US Navy repair ship which served at Little Creek, Virginia from 1946 to 1964 and then began duty as support ship in the Vietnam War. White mat, wooden frame.
