Sha Qi Sadji, Chinese, Belgian, 1914 to 2005, oil painting on canvas depicting a still life with flowers. Signed, lower left. Framed. Known as the east Van Gogh, Sad Ji is a famous oil painting artist. In his earlier years, he was taught by Liu Hai Su, Hsu Bei Hong, and Lin Feng Mian. Referred by Hsu Bei Hong in 1937, he traveled far to Belgium for further studies and became one of the earliest artists in Belgium. A decade later, Sad Ji excelled with great performance. He held several individual exhibitions in Belgium, and in 1940 he exhibited at Atriome with famous artists such as Picasso and won wide recognition by the art world. Later, he graduated with honors from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels and was honored the Golden Award of Excellent Art. One of a kind artwork.
