Signed by the artist lower in the middle. Framed. David Burliuk, 1882 to 1967, was a Russian avant garde artist and poet. He studied painting at the best European schools and was one of the leaders of the avant garde movement. Participated in Russian and international art associations Jack of Diamonds, Donkeys Tail, and Blue Rider. He published poetry collections together with Velimir Khlebnikov and Vladimir Mayakovsky. Organized exhibitions of Russian avant garde in Japan and became famous for his talent in the USA. His works are exhibited in many of the worlds largest museums.
