A fine Russian silver hunting egg. The exterior features repousse decorations depicting forest birds, oak leaves, and hunting trophies on the lid, also set with gemstone cabochons of various colors and surmounted by an Imperial crown. The interior features a wolf hunting a duck. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard, George the Victorious for Moscow, an assay mark under 1878 and the makers mark.
