A Spanish American War, US Model 1881 Army Engineer dress helmet. Pressed black felt with a polished black leather band around lower edge and dress chain chinstrap. Brass plume holder with black horsehair and Signal Corps side buttons. Brass eagle front plate and oak leaves on the top. Black Cord. Leather sweatband present.
