Doshun Mori, Japanese, 1909 to 1985, color woodblock print on paper, ex libris depicting a cup, 1969. Signed and inscribed with Calligraphy, to the upper part. Stamped with a seal, lower right. Inscribed and dated in the print, upper to the center. Doshun Mori is one of the lesser known artists of the Japanese sosaku hanga art movement. He was active as a woodblock printmaker beginning in the 1930s. Prints by the artist are rather rare. Best known is his contribution to a small series Nihon Minzoku Zufu created and published by a group of 12 famous sosau hanga artists in 1946.
