Attributed to Li Kan, Chinese, c. 1245 to 1320, ink and watercolor painting on silk depicting scene with a boy and a sage in a landscape. Inscribed and signed with Calligraphy, and a red seal, upper left. Framed. Li Kan was a Chinese painter during the Yuan Dynasty. Li was born in Jiqiu county. His style name was Zhong Bin and his sobriquet was Xi Zhai. Li lived for some time in a bamboo valley, which inspired many of his works.
