41 reviews

A hand colored limited edition, 32 of 90, etching on wove paper, by Fernand Leger, 1971. The artwork, titled Trois Soeurs or Three sisters, depicts a group of three nude women and a child playing garmon. Provenance: Private collection, New York, USA. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity by VRP Gallery, INC. Numbered in pencil 32 of 90 lower left and by artist signature lower right. Matted and framed. Fernand Leger, 1881 to 1955, was a French painter, sculptor, and director. In his early works, he created a personal form of Cubism known as Tubism, which he gradually modified into a more figurative, populist style. His bold, simplified treatment of modern subjects led to him being considered a precursor of Pop Art.
