A small antique Japanese late Meiji era decorative enamel over copper plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of cranes in a landscape with blossoming flowers and plants made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features butterfly, insect, floral motifs on blue ground made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll ornament on a turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
