A collection of Russian lacquered and hand-painted papier mache pieces from the Soviet period and later. The lot comprises five lacquered boxes, including an elongated rectangular Fedoskino box hand painted with a winter landscape by Borisov, titled and signed, a box depicting a Trojka carriage signed by Sugrobov, a round box depicting a scene from the Stone Flower fairy tale signed by Sytova, and other Russian boxes painted with traditional scenes, a salt cellar pained with Khokhloma motifs, and a papier mache egg hand painted with a couple in a winter village landscape, Signed and dated: Moscow, 1994.
