A group of two German WWII Third Reich mountain troops badges. First is the German Red Cross Alp Rettungsdienst badge, intended for members of the German Red Cross Alpine Rescue Service. The wide enameled badge shows a pair of skis behind an edelweiss, pickaxe, and rope which itself is topped with an enameled red cross with a swastika at the center. Second is the Alpine Hitlerjugend, Hitler Youth Ski badge, 1935 to 1936, a wide oval badge and embossed image of skis, edelweiss, the Hitlerjugend symbol in the form of a red and white diamond and a swastika at the top.
