A fine Russian silver hunting egg. The exterior is decorated with bas-relief overlays of flying ducks and oak branches, as well as semi precious stones: turquoise, lapis lazuli and polished coral. Surmounted by an acorn finial. Inside are figures of small ducks. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard, an assay mark under the date 1878 and other Russian hallmarks.
