An antique late 19th-century French sword bayonet for .on the 11 mm. M1866 Chassepot needle-fire rifle or M1874 Gras rifle. Dated ca. 1867. Slightly curved blade, ribbed grip, crossguard marked M 26267 RI. Presumably produced by the French State Arsenal, Manufacture Imperiale de Tulle. The item comes with a matching scabbard.
