A mid 20th century Hungarian hand made and hand painted porcelain Easter figurine, Rabbit One Ear Up, by Herend Hvngary. The figurine depicts a small bunny with a raised ear. The ware is hand painted with a red fishnet pattern and adorned with gilded accents. Marked with a blue ink factory stamp, an impressed number, 5325, on the bottom. Herend is known for its long history of producing the finest hand painted porcelain worldwide. Herends trademark fishnet pattern design, which is most popular in the U.S., originated in 1858 when an artist intrigued with a Chinese plates fish scale design painted it onto a rooster figurines breast to imitate feathers.
