After Jean Honore Fragonard, French, 1732 to 1806, intaglio engraving heightened with watercolor by J. Matthieu, Le serment damour, or The oath of Love, circa the late 18th century. Jean Honore Fragonard was a painter and printmaker whose late Rococo manner was distinguished by remarkable facility, exuberance, and hedonism.
