A Russian Neoclassical gilt silver paper knife or letter opener in the style of a Roman gladius sword. The blade is decorated with a pierced and embossed floral motif. The handle is set with red guilloche enamel. Polished globe lapis lazuli stone tip with Imperial guards helmet finial. Hallmark of 88 silver standard and makers mark are on the blade.
