An ancient Pre Columbian, Ecuador, hand crafted standing Bahia Bichrome figurine from Chorrera culture. Circa 300 BC. The terracotta semi nude figurine has a thick build with shortened legs and arms. Clothing and jewelry are dark red with geometric patterns. The head is crowned with a high headdress. The item has several small drilled holes, apparently of special significance, and was used for ritual and decorative purposes. Note: Items are not tested, dated or certified by the auction house.
