An ancient Pre Colombian Costa Rican terracotta urn from Nicoya. Multi colored urn, painted with natural pigments in red and black. It is a round vessel with a short neck. In the upper part, the neck of the vessel is square with four through holes on the sides. Apparently, they had a rope or cord threaded through them. Such urns were very typical of ancient Costa Rica.
