Attributed to Vasili Vasilievich Vereshchagin, Russian, 1842 to 1904, an antique oil painting on canvas, East Bazaar. Circa: 1870s. Signed with initials, lower left. Framed. Vasily Vasilyevich Vereshchagin was a Russian painter, writer, one of the most famous battle painters of the second half of the 19th century, a moral chronicler of Russian military history. His battle canvases with pacifist subtexts and drawings from exotic countries served as the artists main topics. One of a kind artwork.
