A lot of four antique bronze figurines, reproductions of the Grand Tour. The lot includes an African Ashanti figurine of a seated mother nursing a child with large feet and a cone-shaped headdress. Two figures of dancing children and she wolf of Romulus and Remus with a hole for threading a cord of Roman origin. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional European trip, with Italy as a key destination, by upper class young European men.
