Charcoal and whitewash on tinted paper. American, early 20th century. The artwork represents a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, 1809 to 1865, the 16th president of the United States. Signed by the artist, Ed. O. Pelts, and dated 1913 in the lower right. Artists note in the lower right: Tinted drawing in charcoal from photograph made by Hesler in Chicago June 1860.
