A miniature Nazi German cast spelter vase or vessel. Elongated shape, embosed floral rim. The obverse is engraved with an SS symbol, runes emblem, and inscription Ahnenerbe, 1941. Hallmarked on the bottom. The Ahnenerbe, translated as Ancestral Heritage, was an SS scientific organization established by Heinrich HImmler and active between 1935 and 1945. It was composed of scholars and scientists from a broad range of academic disciplines and fostered the idea that the German people descended from an Aryan race.
