A Cold War Russian Soviet era Anti Semitic propaganda lithographic poster on paper depicting a scene with a mother and a child and a huge owl from the Boevoi Karandash series, by Vladimir Mikhailovich Menshikov, 1933 to 1994. Printed poem by M. Romanov, lower left. Edited by I. Astapov. Published by Combat Pencil, Boevoi Karandash, Artist of RSFSR, numbered 2007, M 29283, one of 4800, Leningrad, 1970. Marked and copyright in the print, lower left. Boevoi Karandash is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century. This phenomenon of mass art is often referred to as such. Vladimir Mikhailovich Menshikov was a famous Leningrad graphic artist, woodcut artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
